Google Opens a Mobile Phone Web Store

Google unveiled the Nexus One, with the most advanced mobile software version of its Android platform 2.1.; The novelty is that users will buy it on the Internet by 529 dollars (368 euros) and choose which company they want to provide the service.
For now it will be available in the U.S. with T-Mobile, which will sell for $ 179 (124 euros) with a two-year contract, or Verizon, which has yet to announce prices.

The following countries to sell the Nexus One will be Britain, Singapore and Hong Kong. Throughout the year, Google plans to extend it to other countries, although, Andy Rubin, head of the Android platform, suggested it as a possibility with still no timetable.

The phone, which HTC manufactures, has the most advanced processor, Snapdragon Qaulcomm 1 GHz (the same as the Toshiba G01), has a touch screen 3.7-inch AMOLED, trackball (ball, as in the Blackberry) that lights of different colors depending on the alarm (message, email or chat) and is very thin, only 11.5 millimeters, plus the ability to add miniSD memory cards.
It has a 5 megapixel camera with photo and video flash, GPS, compass, accelerometer and noise cancellation performance, like other high-end mobile. It has wi-fi, bluetooth connection and HSDPA (7.2 mbps).

As a novelty, it integrates Google Maps with GPS, which allows use of a more convenient car navigator ( GPS ), and Facebook. It also improves the widgets or applets.
The processor, which integrates 3D graphics capabilities, allows to have photos and organize them as if they were passing frames, in a similar way as the album covers on the iPod. It integrates text to speech conversion, a useful feature for GPS maps and searches.
